Stefanie Batten Bland has been selected by the Jerome Robbins Foundation to receive the coveted 2016 Jerome Robbins Award alongside Tony-nominated writer and director Alex Timbers.

This award will be officially presented at an invitation-only performance event to be held at the Baryshnikov Arts Center.

During the ceremony Company SBB and Burnt Sugar Arkestra will perform an excerpt from Patient(ce).

Patient(ce) - a physical Requiem

An evening-length, interdisciplinary work inspired by father-daughter conversations between choreographer Stefanie Batten Bland and controversial composer and filmmaker Ed Bland and featuring the futuristic jazz ensemble Burnt Sugar Arkestra Chamber and a visual installation by Alaric Hahn.
